Nominate an Exceptional Girl or Woman Today! Deadline for Nominations to the Leading Women/Leading Girls Building Communities Award January 8

The Leading Women Building Communities and Leading Girls Building Communities awards are the first Ontario government awards to recognize and celebrate the impact of girls' and women's leadership on the lives of others in their communities. To date, more than 75 awards have been presented in the province.

Leading Women/Leading Girls Building Communities Awards honour girls and women who champion issues that lead to improvements in the lives of girls and women in their communities and in Ontario. As an MPP, I have an opportunity to nominate girls and women in my riding that are making a difference in our community.

I am asking for your help in identifying deserving candidates in our community. Do you know a girl or woman who has demonstrated exceptional community leadership? If so, please take a moment to review the nomination criteria outlined below. If your candidate matches the criteria, please send along their information right away so that I can nominate them before the deadline, January 8, 2010.

Together, we can recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions that girls and women make in our community every day. Thank you for your participation in this program.
