The Conversation Continues MPP Naqvi releases report on the Sustainable Community Summit

On April 24, I had the honour of hosting a Sustainable Community Summit in the heart of Ottawa Centre. Today I am excited to share the final report with you.

Nearly 100 members of our community joined in a full day discussion about how we can make our community sustainable. This unique event brought together a wide range of people from across industries and across neighbourhoods to have a frank discussion on issues of: sustainable urban design; local food production and distribution; and the use of renewable energy in our community.

You can watch these videos by following the link below. You will also find a copy of these presentations.

Since April the conversation has not stopped! I received dozens of emails and phone calls with further suggestions, thoughts and ideas. After carefully reviewing all of your feedback, we have compiled the report that you will find below.

I am excited about the success of this Summit. We have proven that there is an interest and appetite for knowledge, dialogue and involvement in our community. I look forward to hosting the 2nd Annual Sustainable Community Summit next spring!
